A pause for the frivilous discussion of television

As you know, I am a big fan of House.

I just found totally the coolest website: Medical discussions of the accuracy of each episode. Enjoy!

    Thanks.

  2. My wife and I like the show too (we have the first season on DVD), but the medicine and ethics on the show gives my medical-student wife fits! Good thing we like Hugh so much!

I am also an ER junkie (a habit I picked up when my knee was broken and I was parked on the couch). They do the medicine and medical ethics very well on that show. To watch the delicate dance of organ donation on ER and then switch over to this week’s House is jarring to say the least!

  4. Ha! Don’t get her started on ER, she has every season on DVD and constantly threatens to re-watch them (she has snarky nicknames for all the actors on the show “Doctor George Clooney”, Doctor Brain Tumor”, “Nurse Overdose” etc etc). The medicine is much better on that show on the whole.

Yeah, I’ve actually learned quite a lot from ER. You can’t really learn about medical things from House but you can gaze into Hugh Laurie’s blue eyes…sigh.
