Having a blog and finding yourself with absolutely nothing to say. So, here’s a mini-linkfest:
I am outraged by this.
I found a blog dedicated to what may well become my favorite new show. What did I think of Studio 60 on Sunset Strip? Well, it was a very engaging way to introduce a series, but as an individual episode, it was not an act of genius. Can’t stand next to the pilot for The West Wing. I agree with the Sunset Strip blog; B+ seems about right. Bradley Whitford’s character is intriguing. Very. I wasn’t one of those Josh-crushy girls for West Wing, but Danny Tripp could definitely get crushy.
Jason at Wild Hunt has been knocking them out of the park all week. Four (count ‘em) posts on the complex relationship between Pagans and Unitarian-Universalism (start here) with lively comments, and then a smart look at the religious nature of Halloween, from both Christian and Pagan perspectives.
Still not watching The Wire, are you? You really need to get to that.
Oy. You have that crush thing going hard, don’t you?
I’m maxed out on TV. I’m watching House, ER, Grey’s Anatomy (all medical shows, I know, I know), Dead Like Me reruns, and now Studio 60. I wouldn’t have started Studio 60 if it weren’t Aaron Sorkin.
Besides, isn’t the Wire like a continuing arc thing where jumping in halfway is confusing?
I can tell you flat out: it would be well worth ditching any two of those shows in favor of The Wire. It’s that good. (And by the way, Idris Elba isn’t in it this season.)
Season 4 is actually easier to jump into than either Season 2 or 3, because a lot of the plotlines were tied up (or killed off) last season. That said, I would recommend Netflixing the first three seasons and catching Season 4 later.
Hey, I was right about Spirited Away. 😉
You were also right about Buffy. I’ll keep you posted. But my money is still on you having a crush.
I love being a Josh-crushy girl.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, Amy.
But my heart belongs to Toby.
Thanks for the link! Considering your strong UU-Pagan ties I was wondering what you think on the matter.
I don’t have strong UU-Pagan ties. 🙂 You’re probably thinking of Phaedra.
“The matter” is complex. I think there’s room for congregational Paganism. In terms of the PPD issues I posted at your place. In terms of the way UUs treat Pagans, it depends on individual fellowships, which is why some of your readers are saying oh no, that can’t be true, while others are saying, hear, hear! My local UU fellowship is very Pagan friendly and I like them very much.
