Sometimes you don’t know what a dream symbol means, but you’re sure it means something.
Last night I dreamt I was walking on fish. I was walking in a stream, and it was some sort of punishment or penalty or something, that I had to take this extra walk, and the stream is very shallow; ankle-deep, and my path is all these small pebbles. I see some tiny fish swimming past (downstream) as I walk uphill, and then I realize that some of the pebbles are the bodies of the tiny fish. No, all the pebbles are really fish. I dislodge a few from the path and they’re little silver-blue fish, about an inch long and kinda fat.
I wake up thinking, That’s got to mean something.
interesting…for a moment my mind went to Pymatuning…..

The carp are disgusting. You can buy bread to feed to them, but the sight of so many gaping mouths made me twitch.
I turned around & started tossing the bread to the nearby gulls who would snatch it in midair.
Ick. Walking on fishies…….
You people are NOT helping.
“You people are NOT helping.” Well, you know, sometimes a banana is just a banana……
But I have to say that you have interesting dreams. I rarely remember my dreams… my usual immediate response to waking up is “Damn I’m tired… do I really have to get up?”
To which the dogs respond “Yes indeedly do you must. RIGHT NOW!:
Maybe I can feed them some of your fishies……
The dream expert people say morning before waking up and afternoon naps are often the best time for remembering your dream.
Arthur wakes up at six and his bumbling around tends to wake me, so then the last hour and a half is almost a nap. That’s where I remember most of my dreams from.
(singing) I’m walking on sunfish …….
Here’s what came to mind
Perhaps it’s about Stream of Consciousness…examining emotional footing…
Fish are sometimes conscious (presently moving) and sometimes subconscious (still) emotionally fattened intuitions/ideas/memories/pieces/moments/connections (your own and others’) relied upon. Somehow you’re put in a situation that surprises you, bewilders you perhaps, and causes you to slow down and take a full-sensory look—to see that what was kind of initially inert may actually be plump and varies between organized clusters to those moving (?) randomly. Eventually, you take control to poke around as part of a discovery/observation process. May involve:
• Motivation
• Control/Interaction/Observation
• Grounding/Source
• Slowing down and examining in a sensory way
• Shifting values/focus (from material/work to emotional-spiritual) involves letting go of control …for a moment (uncomfortable interim perhaps)
• More consciously choosing to stir up what/whom
The experience makes more impact than you initially think…
See, everybody? Sari tries to help!
Hey, I have enough trouble trying to figure out what’s going on when I’m awake………
and Barbs sang; that was helpful.
and I stayed the fuck out of it, which, considering the topic and the day I was having, was incredibly generous of spirit!
Thank you Roberta for not helping, thank you Barbara for singing, thank you Ken for being awake.
Now that really did make me laugh out loud (in a good way) …and you know what popped into my head as I read the last comment? The stacked farm animals from The Town Musicians of Bremen fairy tale recorded by the Brothers Grimm.
