Even with thumbs, my cat won’t open stuff by herself. I was kind of surprised, I thought polydactyls tended to use their baseball mitts more….
Sadly, I found her father, Walter, a feral cat, passed away on our porch. We had a big plastic dog carrier out there, blankets wrapped around it & blankets inside because I felt so sorry for the feral cats during this miserable winter.
It looked as though he passed quietly & at least he was in a dry soft place.
We’ll bury him out back this evening.
🙁
only one?
He ran away before we could get more pictures. On his hind legs.
no… only one opposable thumb?
Oh. Good point. Well, one’s enough to operate a can opener and a doorknob; that’s what the little bastards really want anyway.
True dat.

“Next he will grow an opposable thumb.”
