Thank you, maurinsky, we’re pretty thrilled. There was much jumping up and down and hugging and suchwise.
#2 is Wonder Boys
Is #2 Monkey Business? (Not that one, the other one.)
I don’t know #5, but now that I’ve been reminded of it I’m probably going to end up singing Groucho’s song from Horse Feathers for the rest of the day:
“I don’t care what they have to say,
It makes no difference anyway,
Whatever it is –
I’m against it!
And I’ve been saying since they first commenced it,
I’m against it.”
๐
Melville, I’ve been singing that in my head ever since I posted the answer….. ๐
Hee-hee!
“In days before my son was born,
I used to yell from night till morn,
Whatever it is –
I’m against it!”
Y’all may need a hint on #5, we’ll see.
I think #5 is on the tip of my tongue, but I can’t quite spit it out…… It’ll probably make me scream when somebody finally answers it.
Actually, Ken, I know you well enough to be almost certain you haven’t seen it.
Is #5 Good Will Hunting? I never saw it all the way through, but I remember vague Irishy themes…
Nope.
Is number 5 the Kite Runner?
Yes it is! “Fuck the Russia!”
“Actually, Ken, I know you well enough to be almost certain you havenโt seen it.”
Well you would be wrong then….. Read the book, saw the movie. Quite well done – I thought the movie really captured the spirit of the book, and the boys were tremendous.
I’m so surprised! New releases that don’t have explosions aren’t usually your thing.
The boys were great. Should I read the book?
Absolutely. The book is excellent…. the movie give a good representation of the book, but can’t cover everything.
