How do you remove your makeup?

I realize this is a stupid question, but it is on my mind.

Many nights, I use a liquid eye makeup remover on a cotton pad, then I wash, then I use a little lotion on a Q-tip® (accept not substitute) to blot off the remaining mascara that is under my eyes, then I get up the next morning and I still look like a raccoon.

What am I doing wrong?

Back in my theatre days, we used unscented baby wipes.

My wife uses Vaseline (accept any substitute) on a bit of tissue, and she rarely wakes up with raccoon eyes…..

    I use baby wipes myself.

  4. I use baby oil and a q-tip, then a tissue or wipe. Then I use ye old facial wash. The mascara types makes a difference as well.

I use a Lush facial cleanser called Ultrabland made with almond oil, beeswax, other all natural ingredients. Works great, rub on and remove with damp cotton balls.

    Andrea’s Eye-Q or L’Oreal both work great.

Since I use eyeliner rather than mascara, I look like a raccoon anyway,
but they both do the trick, removal-wise.

The two products I find work really well are Aveeno foaming face wash and Olay foaming face wash. I’m pretty sure the Olay specifically removes make-up, but I find both work equally well. I do have to lather my face at least twice to remove all the eye make-up. Both are really gentle on the eyes, so you can really work them into the area without any stinging.

Ok…now I’m sounding like an advertisement.

My job here is done 🙂

Hey, I just use the Qtip again in the morning and call it makeup without work.

Great bunch of suggestions. I like Dee’s best. Free makeup! But I’m going to try baby wipes.
