I consider myself a closet geographer, and I scored a pathetic 59! I could have really cleaned up if I remembered the Carribbean.
Deb, I surfed to your blog by accident, and love it! Been catching up with trivia and kittie pix. Waah, I want kitties now! I met Arthur once, @ 6 years ago. Strange!
I finally took this quiz before lunch. Lordy, Deborah, you are either a fast typist, or you were able to arrange all the countries with the shortest names in your head very fast, or both. I really tried to top your score, and as one of my hobbies has been memorizing countries on maps since I was about 6, I didn’t think it would be so hard. BUT… my brain started locking up, instead of following the countries visually in my head around the world, I started jumping from continent to continent as they’d pop into my head. It was total chaos. 😆 😆
I did get 67 but I wasted a LOT of time in those “stans” that I can’t spell. And as I was working thru Europe I completely missed GERMANY, and even worse, I forgot about MEXICO!!
Uggggh. But, I had fun with it. That matters most.
I have been clocked at 90 wpm, but normally I type around 80. I am not good at maps, but there are so many countries, if you type fast, you’re in the last minute before you really have to think and my weakness in geography becomes a problem.
I also skipped the -stans because I knew it would slow me down.
I’m not even a slow typist. 70-ish. I remember though completely freezing up in frustration at one point and watching about 20 seconds tick by. That had to hurt. I think they should have allowed a short trial run just so you’d be ready.
Kyrgyzstan 🙂

I am definitely taking this test. Meanwhile I just dropped by to say I tagged you in a meme. 🙂
Cathy–I can see why that would take five minutes.
Kat–small world and welcome to the blog! It helps if you’re an incredibly fast typist (which I am).
Kona–thanks for the head’s up. Don’t know why it didn’t show in my rss feed.

83 the first time, 106 the second. I’m a fat-finger typist, and I lost a lot of time to correcting my errors.
