I dance in the car. I totally rock out. I’m not even embarrassed. In fact, I’m the opposite of embarrassed.
And when I say “not embarassed,” I mean that people sometimes honk and point and shout at me. This is a true fact. I try to get them to dance with me.
But I was in the car and I was listening to the soundtrack of The Commitments and I was driving past construction guys and all of a sudden I realized I was doing jazz hands.
Jazz hands.
I was embarrassed.
I don’t know what “jazz hands” are, and I don’t dance. But I flat out sing my ass off in the car…. and The Commitments is an AWESOME soundtrack disc!
Arth got me the two-disc set for Yule. I didn’t even know there was a two-disc set. I was pretty damn thrilled.
Jazz hands.
Feline jazz hands.
Commitments. Burn for me please.
I didn’t know there was a two disc set either…. And they released a “Special Edition” DVD two weeks after I bought the movie….. weasels!
Bert, k.
Ken, it’s a good set; the first CD is really better but the 2nd has Fa-fa-fa, Hard to Handle, and Land of a Thousand Dances. The movie, well, the sudden drop in price should have clued you in. They’re cruel that way. Next time I get a boost of Amazon Associate sales I’m buying the DVD.
I always dance in the car. I don’t care how weird it looks.
Kyla and Justin complain about having to walk to school. In an ongoing effort to push them towards independence, I have instituted “The Song Of The Day”.
While driving them to school, I open all the windows and sunroof, crank the stereo to an obnoxious level and car dance to something like…oh, I don’t know, Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell”.
I suspect walking to school will follow shortly 🙂
Brilliant strategy!
