Site updates and publication news

More new workshops, including “Festival as Community” and “Pain Management.” Updates to “In Print” and “In Progress.”

My big news is that The Ultimate James Bond Fan Book will see print next spring. I can’t begin to tell you how happy it makes me. Just hear the Bond theme in your head while reading this and you’ll get it.

Starwood Schedule

Tentative schedule available in PDF format.

I will be speaking as follows:
Thursday, 11 a.m.: Festival as Community
Friday, 11 a.m.: The Structure of Spellcasting
Saturday, 5 p.m.: The Way of Four

See you there!

Getting ready…

I need someone to feed the cat. And water the plants. And water the cat. I need to squeeze everything I own into my car. Also Charlie and Arthur. And, I guess, everything they own.

Starwood here I come! (Okay, next week. I’m just excited.)

Finally getting around to updating things…

Updated Events with Pagan Pride info. September only seems far off.

Updated Workshops with the new version of Spellcasting. It has gotten too burdensome to squeeze Spellcasting into two hours; there’s too much good material, I end up talking a blue streak and having not enough space for questions. So, for Starwood, I’ll cut some material so we can have some fun. And in the future, I’ll give all the material, spread out more.

Starwood’s only 2 weeks away. I can hardly believe it.

Change of Plans

Due to a miscommunication, I won’t be presenting workshops at Free Spirt after all. But I’ll be there anyway.

AND…now I will be speaking at Free Spirit. Communication is a wonderful thing.

So Beltane was prophetic…

What a miserable May we’re having. Turning 39 is not as fun as it used to be. I am really looking forward to Free Spirit: Fun in the sun, and of course, workshops.

Beltane was cold. Really good. But cold. And wet.

I had totally a great time bonding with Dorothy Morrison at the Pantheon Temple Beltaine thingybop. No offense to the rest of you, but Dorothy is my new favorite person.

It rained and misted and rained and misted. I really loved meeting people and talking with people and eating fudge and buying herbs, but I WAS COLD.

My second lecture (Way of Four) got interrupted because I thought the maypole was starting. But it wasn’t. So I felt stupid. But overall I thought the talks went well. The people who attended were smart and interested and interesting, so it was lively. But they were cold too.

Better luck next year, I guess.

Thanks to Alicia and Rapid for having me.

Site Updates

Several updates today. First, maybe you’ve noticed the blog itself has been upgraded; this was just to save me from the ravages of spam.

Second, take a look at the Events page; one event added for October, dates added for FSG in June, and some other stuff tidied up.

Finally, take a look at the Workshops. I added two and straightened out a few descriptions. Always trying to improve my availability and all like that.

Upcoming stuff

So, I’ve got another event coming up…Festival of Souls in Tennessee. I’ll have a weblink or some more info soon. It’ll be Samhain in the South. Yeehah!

I’m going to revise my “Who Are Those Gardnerians and Why Do They Keep So Many Secrets” workshop, and offer it at a festival or two this season.

New Witch #9 (Spring)

Look for an article by me on the sane use of the Internet. A topic that all of us could learn from!
