Watusi Sighting

I went out to get my taxes done tonight. Came home at 8:25 to discover a message on the voice mail from 8:03 saying my cat had been spotted. Ran out in my pj’s and a coat and of course, she was already gone.

My heart was pounding! Feel like someone in a novel whose long lost love had come home. But…

Past few weeks, I’ve been feeling guilty, because I just adore the Gang of Two. It’s like when your lover dies and the first time you love someone new, you feel disloyal. I’ve been feeling that. And now I find, my hard pounding so hard, that yes, I miss her and love her after all. So much…maybe too much. Maybe holding the feelings down. Right now I’m overwhelmed with emotion.

At least she’s out there!

Friday Kittenblogging: The Dishwasher

I think these are hysterical. Every time I open the dishwasher, one or both of the Gang jumps in. I’ve had the camera in the kitchen all week, hoping to catch them. Only Mingo cooperated, sad to say.

More fun with language; cat-in-the-bag edition

My mother is sewing Arthur a new blanket. They picked out a fab faux fur fabric (5x fast) and a lining.

They came back from the fabric store and took their purchases out of the bags to show me. Mingo immediately got inside the big bag the faux fur had occupied. Which inspired Arthur to pick the occupied bag up. The bottom of the bag ripped open, and indeed, he let the cat out of the bag.

Now it was time to leave. Mom had to take the faux fur and lining home with her. I said:

“Get your grandma a new bag. You ripped the other one with the cat.”

Friday Kittenblogging: The Nighttable

We’ve knocked the book off the nighttable. The tissues are next.
Don't bother sneezing

We warned you.
The nighttable is OURS!

…Then she did her Aerial event

This morning, Fanty thought it would be a good idea to wake me up by standing on my face.

I disagreed.

Friday Kittenblogging

First Fanty was in my lap. Fanty hates being held, but loves being petted. So she comes into my lap and leeeeeeeeeeans into my hand, and finally settles down.

Then Mingo joined her.

Friday Kittenblogging

These were taken when I still liked the Gang of Two; y’know, before I caught Mingo peeing in my closet this morning.

Sad news from the land of data recovery

My friend Glenn came over with his data recovery tools, and after many attempts was finally able to read from my former hard drive. (My ex-c?) It took hours to read the files once it recognized there was a drive, and after hours and hours of waiting the results were…

No readable files. Six years of movie reviews…gone. Three book outlines for books I haven’t yet written…gone. Lesson learned…priceless.

Smiley face in unusual place

Arthur drew a smiley face on Mingo.

May I remind the viewing audience that Arthur is going to be sixteen years old soon? Yes. Arthur, the young man, all 5’8″ of Arthur, drew a smiley face on a kitten.

Leading me to say: Don’t write on the cat.

Maybe not a sentence never heard before, but possibly a sentence never heard before by anyone over the age of four.
